第五届中日韩超构材料研讨会

The 5th A3(China-Japan-Korea)
Metamaterials Symposium

June 26-29, 2021, Nanjing, China

History of A3 META

The A3 Metamaterials (A3 META) Symposium is a metamaterials meeting with leading researchers in Asian countries. The symposium is named after the original countries: China, Japan, and Korea. Topics of the symposium include artificial materials and surfaces in electromagnetic, acoustic, and other systems from DC to optical frequencies and beyond.

The symposium was originally founded between Korea and Japan in 2011, and was expanded to China and other Asian countries as the A3 Metamaterials Forum in 2017. The first A3 META Symposium was launched in Sendai, Japan, in 2016 under the leaderships of Jeong Weon Wu, Teruya Ishihara, and Lei Zhou. Successive symposiums have been successfully held in Shanghai, China in 2017, Pohang, Korea in 2018, and Sapporo, Japan in 2019. The fifth A3 Metamaterials Symposium was expected to be held in Nanjing, China, in 2020, but unfortunately has been delayed until 2021 due to the special circumstances involving the COVID-19 pandemic.
